FAQs
What is Hypnosis and How Does it Work?
Your
mind is divided into two levels: the conscious mind and the
subconscious mind. Your thoughts, decisions and actions are
driven by your conscious mind. Your subconscious mind controls
your bodily functions (heartbeat, breathing etc.) and habits.
During a state of Hypnosis, your conscious mind retrieves to a
natural state of relaxation, while your subconscious mind
becomes fully alert. This allows the positive suggestions given
by your Hypnotherapist to be automatically accepted and
manifested at an altered state of consciousness.
What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)?
Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) is the study of how people
represent experiences internally and externally, real or
imagined, as well as the corresponding effect of how the nervous
system functions. NLP is a technique that focuses on how you
perceive the world through your 5 senses. This produces an
effective change - by learning how to communicate and listen to
yourself and finding which behaviors and or thoughts must be
modified.
Why combine Hypnosis and NLP?
NLP is like your "owner's manual" of your mind. By combining
Hypnosis and NLP, you can learn to access the DNA of your
thoughts, feelings and beliefs, thus making positive and
immediate changes where needed.
Is Hypnosis Safe?
Absolutely! During a hypnotic trance you have full awareness
and control of your thoughts, actions and beliefs. You will not
stay “under” forever. Read below what Hypnosis is NOT and what
in fact, it is.
Hypnosis is NOT: Loss of consciousness or control, weakening of
will, a process that requires a weak mind, a giving away of
secrets, a process whereby you cannot de-hypnotize yourself or
some sort of magic that causes you to change behavior.
Hypnosis is controlled and accepted by you. All Hypnosis is
Self-Hypnosis. A professional and experienced certified
Hypnotherapist will teach you and assist you in achieving your
goal, somewhat like a “coach” or “mentor.”
